Scope Awards: 20th anniversary edition celebrates best funds and investment firms

Scope, in the 20th anniversary edition of its annual awards for outstanding performance in liquid and alternative investments, has named Deka as the best universal provider. AGI and Commerz Real won top awards in the important ELTIF categories.

The European rating agency, together with media partner Handelsblatt, honoured the best funds, investment companies, and certificate providers in 68 categories. Scope analysts examined around 12,500 funds and hundreds of asset managers and certificate providers. The awards ceremony took place on the evening of November 20 at Fotografiska in Berlin. The evening was hosted by Barbara Schöneberger.

Scope Awards for investment funds (UCITS)
In the UCITS fund category, Scope honoured asset managers and funds in 34 categories. This year's award for best universal provider in Germany went to Deka Investment. The company impressed with an exceptionally broad product range, a wide variety of investment approaches, and many top-rated funds. Deka also won in four other award categories.

The trophies for the best provider of equity funds in Germany and active ETFs went to J.P. Morgan Asset Management. The firm excelled through the 15 top ratings of its in-house equity funds and the successful development of innovative products.

Janus Henderson was named best asset manager for small caps, while DJE won in the multi-asset category.

Scope Awards for Alternative Investment Funds (AIF)
Scope honoured asset managers in 30 categories for alternative investment funds. This year, there was a special focus on the ELTIF categories.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management was named best ELTIF Asset Manager in the multi-asset category. Its first-class alternatives platform was just as impressive as the relatively conservative structure of its multi-alternatives ELTIF. Allianz Global Investors came out on top in the ELTIF Infrastructure category. Commerz Real received the award for ELTIF Infrastructure – New Energy.

Deka Immobilien won in three award categories – Best Asset Manager Institutional Real Estate Europe, Retail Real Estate Europe, and Real Estate Global.

Scope Awards for certificate providers
Scope presented awards to investment certificate providers in four categories. The best primary market provider is DekaBank, while Société Générale won in the secondary market category. This year's Trading Award went to J.P. Morgan. Landesbank Baden-Württemberg was named the most sustainable certificate issuer.
